The third and final instalment of Woolford’s ‘Modernist’ trilogy, ‘Demons’, relying on slightly off-key pianos & strings, clearly nods at ‘Strings Of Life’ but that’s where the comparison ends. Add to this, dreamy bleeps, pumping drums and distinctive melodies, and you get a catchy abstract track that’s engaging. In the current twisted electro mould, ‘Sealed In Amber’ offers a deeper, darker mood… robot-house for the big rooms.
