Blimey, an aural distillation of Back To Basics when things get a little crazy! How can this JBO debut from resident Paul not be an absolute titan of killer house manouvres? He has managed to conjure the euphoric, bass-propelled classic party groove that drives this club wild while adding sonic spices of a decidedly futuristic bent. Vertigo rides a riff not unlike Mr Fingers which is then joined by counter-synths and spacey sonic sand-blasts. Theres a major percussive interlude which blows the roof off the club and the seat out of the pants. The flips Take The Pain is even more rampant. Too few do this sort of simple, devastating proper house music which manages to exhale knowledge and disengage knackers in the same deliriously funky breath.
