As if Pet Shop Boys being produced by Trevor Horn wasn’t enough excitement, their new album ‘Fundamental’ comes with a bonus cd of euro remixes. Some of minimal’s key-players such as Alter Ego, Trentmoller, Kompakt’s Michael Meyer get to work around Tennant’s distinctive vocals but the real treat is ‘Fugitive’, an exclusive new track produced by the mighty Richard X. Here’s another creative producer fully able to take the duo’s disco-pop compositions into the 21st century; we’re left to dream that like the successful Stuart Price/Madonna tandem, this is one association that could go a long way.
