Pray For More Ft. LaTasha Jordan
Shame

There’s a huge buzz building around this contemporary house makeover of Evelyn ‘Champaign’ King’s best loved disco outing and the songstresses debut from some 32 years ago (1978 – I know it’s hard to believe!). It wasn’t her biggest hit, or even a top seller, only just scrapped into the UK top 40, but it’s become her epochal recording and a true disco classic worthy of the tag. Covered over the years in a variety of guises by Altern 8 (rave), Zhane (r&b), Ruff Driverz (cheesy house), and Black Latin Soul (tribal house) it’s now the turn of Austria’s Pray For More to offer their take on things. Credibility is very much at the fore with a near identikit vocal performance by New Yorker LaTasha Jordan, matched by some equally strong club mixes from Shadow Stars, Belocca & Soneec, Florian Hereno, Pray For More, and best of all, Mark Simmons’ chunky disco-inflected house workout that’s been doing the rounds miscredited as a Sebastian Ingrosso production! That’s only helped fuel the interest for this highly credible cover.
