The deep house resurgence continues and, with electronic music now having tasted minimal technological progressions, the results are often staggeringly good, like this taster of the upcoming Serenity album. Over chunky old Master C&J-style acid riff and bottomless pad, Prosumer and Elif indulge in lazy scatting and male-female vocal interplay, the groove dissolving and spacing, all to highly-intoxicating effect. Then Panorama Bar’s Cassy comes in for what will be considered one of the classic remixes, taking dancefloor hypnotism to new levels after adding booming chime effect to the groove by looping up vocal lines ad infinitum, even adding her own. The effect is mesmerising, conjuring up early 90s wild pitch wildness in its heady drift. Carnage ahoy, especially at three in the morning when the effects could be devastating.
