A few years back the Miracle Workers built a Spiller-esque feel-good disco embellished track called ‘That Instrumental’ that promised much, but for some unknown reason failed to find a major label hope. It was built around Silvetti’s Salsoul nugget ‘Spring Rain’, the same inspiration behind Richard Grey’s latest studio sortie. His version is not a million miles removed from the aforementioned, with Shernette adding the missing ingredient – a hooky song with sing-a-long value. Robbie Rivera toughens the beats; John ‘Julius’ Knight smoothes things along and Warren Clarke makes it chunky.
