It’s almost 12-years to the day that Stardust (the nom de plume of Alain Braxe, Thomas Bangalter and Benjamin Diamond) hit the number two spot on the UK pop charts that anthemic dancer that started a French revolution in the club world. How time has flown that we’re ready once again to dust it down and remake for the next generation of hungry clubbers. Retaining the riff borrowed from Chaka Khan’s ‘Fate’ it’s now beefed up and brought into the 21st century by the Ruff Loaderz’ Julian Napolitano and pop mashup dons Nick Barnes and Matt Brooks aka the Cut Up Boys. Why reinvent the wheel when it still rolls perfectly well? Piano house, pumping rhythms and chunky beats infused with that oh-so-familiar hook make this a no brainer and a likely summer smash once again.
