Opening with, ‘Spoons’ this latest EP from one third of the Visionquest team delivers bass punctuated rhythms which at once create a tension building mood that leaves your expectation wondering what’s going to happen next. As it happens perky keys fill in the gaps as the bassline expands into a rewarding funk-filled experience accompanied by pulsating kick drums and Latin percussion. ‘Close To Danger’ then proceeds with Techier sounding synths and sound effects, while the excellent Cesar Merveille collaboration ‘Club Chimes’ ends with twisted vocals, yet more pounding drums and an atmospheric sequence of hypnotic chimes that promise to completely captivate you.
