I suspect that Mr Angello is absorbing classical music and opera by the symphony load (either that or he is devouring Game of Thrones and every Gladiator game and film possible in his spare time), since the last few releases from this label have been such high dramatic œuvres and each with show stopping orchestrated breaks. ‘Gods’ is no different, it opens with choral voices and brass – then scales the giddy heights with a white noise and tribal drummed, marching build that feels more than a fitting accompaniment for any Greek or Roman God as they take their places on their rightful thrones on Mount Olympus or wherever they decide to lay their laurel crowns. They are that hard.
