Hot star in ascendance, Sam Smith, returns to hog the upper regions of the charts with the anthemic ‘Like I can’. In its original guise it’s an acoustic guitar and choral rabble rouser but iLL BLU shoots its disco arrow directly at the gluteus maximus, upping the uptempo garage ante with a high stakes gusher. Jonas Rathsman restrains the horses, tickles the tempo and lengthens the shadows for a tech house abstraction. Artful drop a two step tease with frilly, bleating vocals. Anthemic. Like only Sam Smith can.
