For those of you with house music saber teeth, you will remember bits of Love’s Got Me High as Terrence Parker’s ‘Seven Grand Housing Authority’ around in the early 90s. Now for his first official release London’s caped crusader and remixer, Scales, has reworked, rolled and rethreaded ‘Love’s Got Me High’ in shining garage / future house silks, and secured it with shimmering sustained strings and a smoky soulful vocal that would strip the knickers off a nun from 250 metres. Like the lyric says ‘ooh this is some good shit’. It’s like drinking a big cup of love from a mug without a handle.
