SCARLET FANTASTIC
NO MEMORY (2007)
BOSS

Originally out in the late eighties, there are good chances you’ll have never heard of this record but if you do you’ll almost certainly agree that Scarlet Fantastic are to be considered as legendary pop idols (that’s when the expression wasn’t an insult). Indeed for a short while these not exactly one-hit wonders  – the duo was going as Swans Way a few years earlier, ‘Soul Train’ being another fine pop moment – were on a mission to combine Bowie-esque drama with the eurodisco beats of the time, and soon enough the Balearic DJs turned it into a cult classic. Nearly twenty years on, the guys at Boss have had the brilliant idea of resurrecting it. ‘No Memory’ is still one hell of an anthem and Raul Rincon has done a convincing uplifting job that should give it a whole new lease of life (also Dennis Christopher and Speed Kills remixes).
