Particularly gratifying is the almost dreamy landscape created by SDXN in ‘Eyes’ but equally so as it is all underpinned by a tough, moody rhythm section that lends the arrangement a bright flair of originality. It’s packed full of sounds and percussive hits to discover and is all the more impressive for remaining vocal free while proclaiming such a telling narrative of events. ‘Only’ continues with the themed soundtrack also feeling ponderous yet compelling with a tasteful array of probing tones combining into another sumptuous production. ‘Saturn’ completes with a brighter set of chords and more of an uplift in the music from what is clearly an impressive musical talent. Finally, Winter Son drops the beats to again highlight a striking course of instrumentation that again transports your emotions to all sorts of places via his carefully crafted electronics.
