The author of the sublime future classic, ‘La Ritournelle’, returns two years on with the limited edition ‘Sexual Sportswear’; the first single from his February earmarked opus entitled ‘Sexuality’. If that’s not exciting news in itself, the fact that Daft Punk’s Guy Manuel De Homem-Christo has produced this and the seminal new album, should have you salivating. It’s the first time Guy has worked with anyone outside of the Daft Punk fold, so the clichéd ‘difficult third album’by Tellier should be anything but. As with what’s gone before ‘Sexual Sportwear’ is another textbook blend of electronica seamlessly matched with lush orchestrated arrangements akin to those of fellow countrymen Air, and their now classic ‘Moon Safari’ opus. Yet whilst comparisons can be flattering, they can also mask true creativeness that Tellier oozes from every digit.
