Records of this nature don’t seem to happen quite so often these days and by that I mean that they sound as distinctive and standout. LA-based producer and singer Seven Davis Jr.’s hot recording stands heads above the rest simply because this effortlessly funky and inspired acapella proves to be so ultimately infectious looped across, ‘Friends’ backdrop of rough beats and hand-claps. ‘Beautiful’ continues the theme although this time is more up-tempo and you can also hear more of the Prince/ Stevie Wonder referencing vibes on the excellent Live Edit of, ‘One’. Adding a touch of class to the proceedings…
