I wish I could put my finger on the early 90s piano house tune that ‘Piano Weapon’ interpolates, it’s on the tip of my tongue but no … it’s dissolved just like a loose pill in a jeans pocket along with the effects of more than two decades of clubbing which have systematically erased such synaptic connections. Still the memory lives on but welcomes the fresh, new by Shadowchild and Doorly’s muscular, heavyweight rewiring. The piano chords have a dynamic energy that would power a bunch of festivals through the season whilst the uplifting vibe could put Prozac out of business. It’s piano house for the new millenials that rocks hard and smiles wide.
