Out of paris this is Shonky’s second release on Dan Ghenacia’s hot label and just like the debut don’t disappoint. Shonky who’s lessons in house came from the likes of Ghenacia, Ivam Smaggie and Terry at Parisian after hr joints paints a picture of these late nights and early mornings with his music. Plenty of techy yet funky beats, bleepy noises and haunting melodies, the track “Phantomas” stands out for me with a more driving peak time/big room appeal that should crossover from the underground heads/DJs to the more commercial DJs that delve into this genre.
