Fifth release on Brett Jackson’s Johannesburg-based label, which invites major players to vent their magic on South African house music talent [So far Toka Project, Swirl People and Jake Childs], features 21-year-old DJ Clock, a fast-rising DJ-producer whose original kicks up a spaced, shimmering house vamp with a little story on top. Brett then teams up with S.A. dance music veteran Orion for a cool, deep treatment before Nick Holder turns in a likewise-sympathetic version using what were already great elements and a badger’s boner. Very worthy project.
