Opened up my radio show [Fnoob.com every other Monday!] with this a couple of weeks ago, citing this San Francisco-Amsterdam based crew as a hot tip for 2010. One of the great things about them is the constant honing and progression evident in each of their releases, constantly producing their own inimitable brand of wigged-out, deeply funky and ever-inventive house music. The title track plants shimmering keys over deep Slam-style bass-snakes topped with disembodied female. ‘Bless The Funk’ is cheeky, squirty and jacking, ‘Do You Wanna?’ is filthier than a goat’s rectum while ‘Say No’ hooks up with regular collaborator Mike L to bring in trippy gospel touches and the kind of bumped-up funky house which is sheer heaven to this fan of labels like Derrick Carter’s Blue Cucharacha.
