Although not out until the start of December this record is too hot to leave simmering. Following on from the acclaimed of the original mixes of ‘Azure’, (which received props from the likes of Josh Wink, Carl Craig, Sven Vath, Tom Middleton and Laurent Garnier), the label has now commissioned a brace of new creations worthy of the mind-enveloping instrumental. Radioslave deliver one of their best yet, with a marathon mix that never sounds repetitive despite clocking in at a whopping 13’38. Slam’s reputation is built on a foundation of being one of the dependable, invigorating sources of high-quality dancefloor tackle, and this mix perfectly takes their sound to even greater height. The Samuel L. Sessions remix even goes in a different direction fusing jazzy beats with the grooving techno backdrop and Detroit-esque piano-stabs. All-in-all a package worthy of remixing and one that aptly demonstrates why Slam are firmly ensconced as one of the UK’s leading electronic producers.
