What we’ve got here is a second wave of remixes for the Franz Ferdinand hit “No You Girls”, and this lot are well and truly out there. Gatto Fritto is first at the controls, taking us on a trip to the intergalactic disco, with electronic vocals, floating effects and plenty of retro futurist moments, all swirling around the mirror ball groove. Next up is The Juan MacLean with tweaking acid, spooked vocals, a touch of Italo scream up and sideways synths, riding fat 4/4 beats offset with disco claps. Taking us just that bit further with the final instalment is Trentmoller, building on rolling drums he brings in ping pong riffs, giddy keyboards and tops it off with back in the day peaking pianos. Ladies and gentlemen we are dancing in space.
