One of Brighton’s finest exports has to be Soft Rocks and if you don’t believe it then try, ‘Is This The Best Step For Father Africa’ and ask yourself why not? This feels like something so far out that it’s definitely in, and with its truly cosmopolitan mix of European electronics and eighties guitar sounds it can be filled somewhere in between Balearic and just plain bizarre. The remaining three tracks strike up different atmospheres ranging from the tastefully sultry ‘Black Magic’ to the pounding drums of ‘This Is Our Big Noise’. Much more please.
