This is a brand new label and brand new EP from the mind of Sooney. The label is called Take Control and the EP is a tight two affair that features a remix from Paperwork. Rooney is no newcomer, though, having worked as Auntie Susan before now. He has been collecting records and DJing for years and so has a great understanding of dance, as showcased here. The first jam is Dial Up, which is full of rude attitudes and street wise swagger. It has firmly rooted rude and slinky reflective metallic hits as it slowly unfolds. Heavily filtered vocals and retro bass stabs really get you loose and have you marching along in time. The remix is from Paperwork and finds the track flipped into a more tech house aligned affair. It is dark and tough and is perfect for back rooms and basements. This is a great way to start a new label and the signs are that it will go on to great things.
