From Italy comes this soulfully appealing number that glides along sucking you in to its near-hypnotic sample bassline-driven rhythm and snaking synthlines. Taking percussion from the Doobie Brothers (yes twice in one week!) this smacks of instant recognition, and so automatically gives it a head start over the competition. No samples, just loads of ‘inspired by’ reference points that make this hauntingly beautiful instrumental number so damn irresistible. Then just when you though it couldn’t get any better they’ve added a sexy female vocal to totally blow it out the water. Lyrically not the most profound of messages but come Monday morning it’ll still be ringing in your head after the weekend’s manoeuvres, and that ain’t no bad thing.
