Last year saw a veritable deluge of killer singles from the White Noise supremo, every one a defining a different genre and never predicatble. After a six-month gap he’s back again, this time with no further mission than demolishing the dancefloor with some no-holds-barred acid house. The track makes its presence felt gradually, punctuated by a Hawtin-style 303 bleat which is then joined by Hardfloor-style dynamics, squabbling duck synths and escalating old school percussion programming. Works a treat. Colin remixed Parazoid’s ‘Sudden Moves’ to fine effect; they return the favour with a low-flying minimal funk assault which hits where it counts. Still say he should do an album.
