Well it’s been quite a few years since Belgium’s Telex were creating all sorts of electro finery, & rocking club dance floors alongside Kraftwerk, Sparks & The Silicone Teens etc, in fact it was 1979 when they had massive success with ‘Moskow Diskow’, ‘Twist A Saint Tropez’ & their cover of ‘Rock Around The Clock’. Well it’s 26 years later & they’re sounding just as innovative with another cover, this time round they’ve re-worked Canned Heat’s 1966 bluesy psychedelic classic ‘On The Road Again’, injecting it with pulses & subtle pads whilst retaining the far out feel of the original. Soulful robotics are back. Can’t wait to hear the new Telex album ‘How Do You Dance’.
