DK Watts and Lance Leber are at the forefront of San Francisco’s vibrant house scene, launching Bounce House in 2005, so far this year remixing P-Rez and Clever Bits to pants-shredding effect. I love the spirit of this label so it comes as little surprise that their latest under their own name is a funked-up delight, bolstered by chattering clavinet and livened by basso rap voice. They bring in their regular chanteuse Allison for a lovely performance on ‘Where Are You’, enhanced by melancholy strings. Worth taking a ride, that’s the ticket, etc.
