Initially the work of a certain Thomas Jerome Moulton – best known as remixer and disco producer extraordinaire Tom Moulton. Following the recent update by DJ Prom of his ‘Small Circle Of Friends’, another 1979 rarity from the Casablanca vaults (that also featured on the ‘TJM’ album) is now given new life by the Harlem Hustlers. It’s loaded with contemporary flavor and you’d be hard pushed to recognise little from the original bar the distinct vocal hook. Now with a visibly ‘French disco sound’, despite the Hustlers being Italian, this retro pastiche of seductive strings, shuffling hi-hats and a Modjo-style groove is an effective combination, if a slightly well trodden path to the dancefloor.
