Tracey Thorn
Why Does The Wind?
Strange Feelings / Buzzin’ Fly

With perhaps one of the most instantly recognisable voices in club land, it’s great to report the return of Tracey Thorn on a languid midtempo shuffler made with radio and late night secret rendezvous in mind. Recorded in Berlin with Ewan Pearson (the two previously worked together on 2007’s acclaimed ‘Out Of The Woods’ opus) the blend of musical styles and lyrical messages is diverse enough to satisfy nearly every listener’s aural taste buds with Mrs Ben Watt’s unique acoustic-rock rooted melodies irresistibly mesmerising. Morgan Geist goes deep, Michael Cleis offer some percussive South American spice and Andre Lodemann works a near MAW-styled groove to create an equally enticing remix package for added value. Taken from the singer’s upcoming ‘Love And Its Opposite’ album that features guest contributions from Hot Chip’s Al Doyle, The Invisible’s Leo Taylor and Swedish singer-songwriter Jens Lekman.
