Bollock-detonation time again as a bona-fide club classic gets revamped to relaunch Christian Smith’s Tronic label. ‘Move!’ first caused a commotion on Carl Cox’s Intec label in 2002, standing out and crossing over into any DJ box from Deep Dish to Jeff Mills. The message was simple; the title, stated simply over a pummelling bass-line which brought the killer groove to the boil while the flickering midway section predated the current techno sound. Those who missed out the first time can only get the mammoth original via digital malarkey but the twelve boasts two new treatments: Brazil’s Dimitri Nakov, Gabe & Ritkam going squelchy and chunky with rising electric storms while Sweden’s Steve Angello whips up a bristling, crackling buzz-groove joined by chomping acid and all manner of alien frequencies. Some monstrous drops too, but always returning to that bassline. Monstrous tackle but the original still rules!
