Based on a great hook and original arrangement, this new Phonetic release is an instant winner (it’s so fresh and imaginative that indeed it well could be the work of a very well known producer as hinted in the release sheet). What sounds like an eighties pop/soul vocal sample (?) gets tweaked to stunning results thanks to every programming/production trick in the book. At long last a funky-electroey tune that’s inventive and entertaining all the way. The remixes tread a safer filtered route (yawn) but be sure ‘Gotta Move’ won’t get unnoticed too long.
