Those bemoaning the lack of decent house vocals this year should check number 4 from the Guess Who stable. On the A-side, John Legend’s “Baby When I Used 2 Luv U” is paired with the bassline from the Fingers Inc classic, “Mysteries of Love”, by R Brown. Nowt big or clever, but the combination of no-nonsense beats and peak time feel is sure to be a staple of the Carter clones for the next few months. On the flip 50 Cent and Mobb Deep loops and a honky tonk piano provide the backing for a hip-house vibed grafter.
