This EP revisits three of the labels strongest productions with fresh remixes inviting a rejuvenated perspective. First up is Ben Watt’s 2003 nugget ‘Lone Cat’ which now receives a crunchy, powerful groove via Dennis Ferrer while that commanding voice and organ chords wisely remain intact. His stunning ‘Old Soul’ then gets its own space after first appearing on the ‘Buzzin’ Fly Vol 3’ mix comp and still sounds every bit as striking with Baby Blak’s rap hitting target. Leaving the label’s signature ‘Sad Piano’ to get twisted by Jimpster into something altogether more intensive, though none-the-less effective as the original.
