Wayward (the man responsible for that gorgeous remix on Basement Jaxx’s ‘Never Say Never’) drops a smooth and soulful garage / house double header on Black Butter Records and what a treat it is. ‘Speak On It’ is a sublime and yet raw around the edges, vocal houser with a sucker punch kick drum and a vocal that touches your soul. ‘Belize’ is the more obvious radio / chart bouncer with its honey rich female vocals, sneaky build up and bouncing beats. Close your eyes and it will be summer all year round.
