Named after Phuture’s cocaine classic, Your Only Friend is both Barcelona Djs Steve Ferrand and Tres Manos and the label which they kicked off in mind-blowing style with Lady Blacktronika. Now they follow through with an evocative creeper of their own, showing that this label will never be predictable by planting a Siouxsie-like female vocal countered by rap samples over propulsive, haunted house on ‘Back From The Dead’. ‘Speluntin’ charts a deeper house course, ruffling the mole’s buttock bristles with aplomb, before ‘Sandy Bitches’ whips up the spirit of 90s Dance Mania jack tracks with little mercy for the dance floor. Keep an eye on this label.
