This excellent release from Jag Kiranmay really hits the nail on the head as evocative ambience gathers pace over insistent beats, then drops from sight to be replaced by soulful keys and a heavy bubbling bassline. The arrangement really captures the moment with a brutal intensity that combines the notions behind day and night most tellingly. ‘Milarepa’ gets notably remixed by Lozan who lends the track a different angle feeling more abstract in the process, leaving the second original ‘Bucegi’ to get tougher injecting darker basslines and pads into the presentation which eventually peaks at the point of Detroit fuelled stabs.
