French producer Kiddy Smile makes his debut on DFTD records with ‘Let A Bitch Know’: the original version is a spiky, bitchy stomp track with a spoken vocal and a rubbery bassline that will provide the soundtrack to many a vogueing runway and bouncing Ibiza / Berlin main room. Gene Farris adds more pop and poke to the arrangement whilst Catz ‘N Dogz take it on safari for a tribalistic techno workout. Boston Bun blaze the bottom end for a bassline led groove that will seduce you from the waist down. Happy humpday if you know what I mean. If you hurry you might still find the free (high quality) download of Chicago via Berlin favourite Alinka’s breathy, atmospheric and rather lovely electro-breakbeat take on the proceedings – and if that’s not great value for money, then I don’t know what is. I liked this so much I put it straight onto my Reform Radio show. Just to be predictable, Defected kill it once again.
