Knarly Knob continues a fine run of form with a new EP on Emotive Sounds. The former rock band keyboard player shows an emotive and deep house side to his sound and once again impresses on his original, while a remix from Andrea Martini seals a great package.

Called The Ceiling, the track is a spacious and eerie number with emotive vocals and a slipper, rubbery drum line. Its one for the dead of night and some great melodies come in later on to bring the magic. Synths are lithe and elastic and the vocal from Toile really sets it off. The remix is more stripped back and spine tingling, with a molten acid line wriggling away in the midst of the groove and taking you deep into the night.
