Massimiliano Caporale has since he popped up like a star a few years ago, earned himself a front row place in the House Music industry, thanks to countless amazing releases on prime soulful imprints like Soulstice, MoBlack or Moon Rocket. His style tends to vary a bit, it sometimes can be an immense Afro cut followed by a sweet soulful nugget, but what seems to be his trademark is pure musical quality. The man from Turin follows this path with his new offering on the ever busy Union Records label, a platform that is run by fellow Italians Peppe Citarella and Davide Fiorese. Entitled ‘World, Music & Thoughts’ he teams up with Pietro Nicosia, a man who has been trained on many instruments and plays them with passion like nearly no one else. And that’s exactly what you can hear throughout this EP, a melange of sweet chords, lovely arranged drums, and various live played instruments develops into an EP not to be missed. The percussive vibe driven ‘Urban People’ may be outstanding but the other two cuts ‘Sweet Guitar Suite’ and ‘Joy’ really are essential tracks as well. 20 years ago this release would have caused big waves as at that time it was all about musical sense. We all should be nothing but happy, that there are still artists and labels out there, who put out this kind of quality. So it is rather essential that we support it with our purchase! Grande!
