Chris Massey and DJ Paulette release the first fruits of their new partnership with a hot double tracker on Black Riot Records. ‘Sheroes’ is a quirky house outing dedicated to the females of the dance music world who have influenced Massey and Paulette’s own DJ careers in some shape or form. In a similar vein to Daft Punk’s classic ’Teachers’, Paulette roll calls influential ladies such as Annie Mac, Honey Dijon, Nina Kraviz, The Black Madonna and more over a bubbling electronic groove. ‘Violins & Things’ is a sassy slab of acid driven house dipped in electro’s bubble bath, which actually doesn’t feature any violins at all, but instead sports a wicked spoken word from Paulette.
