Did we ever really need, yet another a reworking of this classic riff? Maybe not, but here is an outstanding contribution to 2017 bootlegs that simply cannot be ignored. London based producer Honan is someone who I have been following this last year, and so far I’m yet to be disappointed.
The soundscape is extremely current and when those familiar bells kick in, with new edits to boot, it’s back to the late 90’s in a flash. The rich synth layers and breakbeats add extra identity and really make this rework standout. It’s no surprise JFK chose to end the night with this at the recent Gatecrasher reunion. Classy work.
