Nihil Young’s stunning ‘Ascension Ep’ release from last year gets a selection of cool make overs. The title track gets a fiercely haunting techno rinse from Johnny Kaos, where his eery atmospheric synths flow over crisp energetic beats, and Yin Yang Bangers cook up a bubbly progressive house version teased with some nice melodic vibes. ‘She’ is the highlight here, as Yarni amps up the pretty to 11, delivering a beautifully melodic deep affair retaining the raw emotion of the original.
