If nothing else this will have your nerves stand on end. And that’s down to the edgy collaboration of fizzy electronics which underpin Fink’s deliberately cutting words that seem to at once entice you, yet fight against the suggested warmth of melody. This is a captivating mix of rush and emotion while certainly one that challenges any complacency you may have sipping cocktails by the poolside. The Fink version is even more telling dropping straightforward beats in favour of heightened, fully-charged atmosphere proving to be the most rewarding. Meanwhile the excellent, ‘Cape Coast’ provides a funky sense of light relief with a blaze of sassy percussion alongside occasional rumbling bass igniting the party next door.
