What happens when one of the UK’s most hype Techno talents invites US stalwart Frankie Bones into his studio? An infectious EP that’s headed straight for the Carl Cox camp, that’s what! Lead track Acid Souls mesmerises with smooth 303 twists and turns, an almost jackin’ groove, and the result is a very underground record that more than does the damage! The second track on the EP also impresses with its relentless arp sequences and infrequent low synth slurrs. Phutek’s powerful and signature production qualities are ever present, and these Cox approved bombs should effortlessly appease fans on both sides of the Atlantic.
