Originally around three years ago on Dot Dot Dot Records and now remixed and transferred across town to John Benitez’s New York imprint. Less-is-more as Latrice Verrett throatily lip syncs “pump me baby, work me baby” over a backdrop that’s so stripped down, dark and percussive that this has 5am stamped all over it, particularly when the burbling synths fade up to create an acidic climax mid-way through on That Kid Chris’ 10-minute epic remix. There’s also Peter Bailey re-rub that adds a touch of techno-tribal to the blender giving it all the qualities needed to make it to the front of Tenaglia’s Miami box.
