DEEPGROOVE
ACID HOUSE MUSIC
SLAVE

Here’s another Deepgroove release that no doubt is going to get much attention; these boys must be doing something right. Based around a famous 808 State riff (“Cubik”?) “Acid House Music” feels very much like a legal bootleg, repackaging well for today’s dancefloors the mayhem of yesterday. Funny to realise that er, for the kids of today early nineties rave falls in the same “acid house” bracket as the late eighties (slightly classier) old school tracks. Anyhow as well as the original, label boss D. Ramirez, who wasn’t going to miss a great occasion to tamper with such classic gimmick, delivers not one but two solid excursions in a dirty tribal vein.
