Sounding not unlike a cross between the Soulshaker and the tribal percussion of Robbie Rivera’s ‘Bang’. This wickedly hip and chunky number expertly blends head-nodding Superchumbo-esque bongo-lines, with austered enveloping beats, and a taut vocal welcoming you into church of funk. The label mogul also delivers a deeper and darker mix that mixes up the sermon-like delivery with another of his distorted Funk-A-Tron-like bassline. Interestingly different. (LD)
