Ten years on Whoop!’s third release ‘One Earth Beat’ is back. Its killer First Life remix became a classic overnight, picking up plays from Sasha, Diggers and a legion of others prog heads at the time when the genre was at its peak. Two re-interpretations to choose from, the best being the Nuemark & BarBQ remix. Active as a squirrel, those Russians have built a groovy mix that still boasts a deep strings break. The Gardner & Star ‘Rave Lizard’ mix is more gliding future funk but feels monotonous after a while, the breakdown is not exactly convincing either (both 127 BPM).
