Level have unleashed a sublime slice of big room progressiveness that harks back to an era of leather trousers and long-haired rock posturing in clubs. We’re old enough to remember the emergence of the driving progressive house sound and this is a direct continuation into the naughties with a bang up-to-date production and the ability to lift a big room to a new level. All the prog elements are there: hugely reverbed FX, swirling synth lines, arpeggios, big fat prodding bass, plus that staunch progressive element, the emotive male vocal. It’s not going to work every time, but drop this one at exactly the right moment and we predict it will lift the roof off.
