With its catchy line ‘I Hate You, I Love You, I Need You, Are You Fine?’, this blazing biggie from Kyau & Albert proves once more that you can’t beat a quirky, gimmicky vocal hook in a dance track. The original is a stompy techy number that breaks to haunting pads and a Moroder b-line however the remixes take things further by making a real feast out of the elements at hand. On a furious tip the Vardran vocal and dub mixes go for hellish drums and half-time beat in the breakdown, anthemic to say the least. Markus Schulz’s reinterpretation, on a martial classical tip (the most commercial here), combines tribally drums, crystal clear minor chords that turn into raging riff and lock perfectly with the vocal.
